Question:
Do you really paint in costume, doesn’t
it take too long? Doesn’t it destroy the costume? How
does this typically work?
Answer:
I
pretty much already live in costume, don’t worry, I am
used to it. Also, I have a great closet with plenty of costumes
designated specifically for Mural Mural On The Wall. And yes,
you’re right, if it’s a large piece or a full-blown
environment make-over (wow!), we’ll have lots of options
so I’m not stuck in costume too long - don’t worry.
Something fun I’ve done before, I can deliver the Golden
Ticket in character, arrive the first day for few hours in character
or do a planning session with the child in character, and in
the end christen the final touches in character in front of
them.
But,
then again, after it’s primed, some small pieces DO only
take me 3-4 hours, I’m pretty quick.
The
longer, really wonderful ones take a few days, for those, one
great idea is to hire me as your house-sitter (see “She
House Sits To House Kids”) to watch the house while you’re
on vacation (do it! take care of yourself! Hooray!) and get
the mural done then. I can also paint over a period of day while
the kids are at school and cover it when I go home for the day.
Or
I can just deliver the Golden Ticket in character, paint only
in my cute overalls and wings (The Paint Fairy character) and
return at the end in character to “give” the mural
to the child.
Or!
My FAVORITE I can do interactive mural performance, which is
me in character, actually live and taking suggestions from the
child AS I paint. This is a child’s ultimate dream gift.
As I am painting, I consult with them and they are ABSOLUTELY
part of the process and in control of the imagineering of what
they are seeing created in front of them! Working with their
favorite character to make a larger than life painting is truly
an unparalleled experience for the children that they will remember
their entire life! I’ve invented performance muralling,
where I have the child sit there as long as they are interested
and dictate what will go where – what colors, what size,
what mood – which I can absolutely do and still control
for an organized, incredible result.
I
ask questions that help them decide like, “I’m imagining
some mystical special animals on the hills behind the castle
here, do you want those? What animals do you imagine? Okay,
where should the dragon go? Here? What color should it be? Is
it a boy or a girl or neither? What is her name?” I can
paint FAST it will amaze you, you can preview my work by hiring
me for master-level face painting. The child can also just be
involved in preliminary sessions and sketches I can make and
they can dictate to me.

Question:
Why do you keep claiming you’re so dang creative? Prove
it. Knock my socks off with some great ideas that will make
me know why you’re the one we want for this investment!
Answer:
I have creative ideas galore. Here’s one I’ve never
seen elsewhere: I LOVE to include portraits of the actual child
right into their mural. I have put families riding a dragon
together, many portraits of beloved dogs, cats & rabbits
incorporated fascinatingly into the scene! Can you remember
childlike wonder? Imagine a playroom with you, yourself in the
princess gown looking out from the castle’s tower window!
And maybe your brother riding a unicorn? And your dog under
a magical peach tree? I am also happy to honor precious people
or animals or past homes or anything else your child might have
lost who you’d like to see in the images too, maybe as
angels? As peacefully looking on in adorable little gardens
or in places where you fondly imagine them? Maybe a cute street
of portraits of houses that your family has lived in all together,
or adding in homes from photos you show me or you describe and
I sketch out, that you grew up in or have been important to
your family? I am very creative and supportive and can incorporate
anything you or your child can dream up! I have painted pseudo-headboards
right onto the wall behind the bed with a unicorn peeking out
from behind and magical birds sitting on it. I have done cloudy
ceilings. I have done train tracks and a yellow brick road on
the cement in the backyard leading to the playhouse! I can make
your playhouse the envy of your mom’s group!
Every
single mural I’ve done as the Paint Fairy for Mural Mural
On The Wall is totally customized. I can give you quotes for
whatever you can imagine.

Question:
How does pricing work?
Answer:
Prices fluctuate based on:
- I
want to be painting murals, making creative environments for
children is my PASSION. Little ambience pieces start at $250
and I am VERY affordable (and more fun?) on my large scale
environment make-over pieces too, compared to some stuffy
pros out there. Shop around I know you’ll come back!
-
The complexity and size of the mural – I can do little
3 foot square pieces that look like a window looking out into
a magical scene or absolutely an entire theme room! I can
work with the architecture you have for innovative designs.
I can paint over old tile in bathrooms to make them fun and
fresh again and make the infamous POTTY and BATH attractive
places to be!
-
The amount of character acting you’d want included:
hand delivery of the Golden Ticket, interactive performance
muraling, visits during or at the end of the process
-
Please consider asking me to use greener paints for the project.
-
I own Magic Princess too, I can work out package for having
an MP birthday party, giving the child a Golden Ticket, right
in the middle of the magic show to come out of thin air, and
maybe even to put in the deal to house sit for you while I
work on the mural and your family goes to Disneyland!

Want to give the most magical gift possible?
Grandparents
LOVE this gift idea and maybe both pairs of grandparents can
go in together to buy a Golden Ticket! They’ll spend as
much at Toys RUs combined anyway, and a customized mural lasts
a long time! A great stocking stuffer! Really special.

In Magic,
